Minor general surgery is a branch of surgery that encompasses a set of simple, short-duration surgical techniques, applied to the most superficial structures of the human body. General Surgery Conditions We Treat

• Ingrown toenails (onychocryptosis): Surgical correction of the toenail that has grown into the skin of the toe, causing pain, inflammation and, occasionally, infection. The procedure relieves the pressure and prevents future recurrences.

How Does the Process Work?

2. Diagnosis and planning: If necessary, complementary tests (ultrasound, blood test) are carried out to complete the diagnosis. The procedure is planned and the patient is informed about the preoperative instructions (fasting, medication, allergies).
3. Surgical procedure: The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, in a sterile and controlled environment. The duration is usually short (between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the complexity). The patient can return home the same day.
4. Follow-up and recovery: Check-up visits are scheduled to monitor healing, remove stitches if applicable and review the pathology results in the case of a biopsy. Recovery is generally quick and with minimal discomfort.
